We’re big technology fans. We’ve been having fun with technology since we started this business back in 1992. But over the years, we’ve noticed a problem: Some of the best technology on the market was underachieving in the business world. We knew the technology was good. We just couldn’t understand why it wasn’t doing what it was supposed to do.

Then we figured it out. We realized that you could have the best technology in the world, but if you don’t have the business processes in place to support it, it’s not going to work for you. Without proper business processes, even the best technology is set up to fail.

Our Business Process Consulting service isn’t about technology at all. It’s about business. More importantly, it’s about you.

It’s about taking the time to listen to you and learn about what makes you – and your business – tick. What do you want from your business? What are your goals, your hopes, your dreams? We want to know all about them.

Then we take a look at where you are now. Are your goals, hopes and dreams within reach or does it seem like you’ll never reach them? We figure out the size of the gap between you and your goals and then we help you figure out what you’re prepared to do to close it.

IT Assessment

We start by visiting your business and taking a good look at your systems. We believe that healthy businesses start with healthy systems. That’s why we like to think of ourselves as your IT doctor.

Think for a second about what it’s like to go to a new doctor for the first time. What does he or she do during that first physical? He probably takes a lot of measurements and gets a sense of how your body’s systems are doing. He works from a checklist and figures out which systems are healthy and which ones need help. He creates baseline measurements so that when you come back for another physical next year, he can compare your progress and chart your improvement.

That’s exactly what we do during our IT Assessment. We send one of our engineers into your offices and we take a lot of measurements to get a sense of how your IT systems are doing. We look at your storage and security systems. We check out your networks and your hardware and see how up-to-date your software is. We work from a checklist and create baseline measurements so we can compare your progress and chart your improvement.

Then we give you a custom-written report filled with recommendations that will help your business stay healthy and grow strong.

Software Development

So how do we help you make your business grow healthy and strong?

Once we help you figure out exactly where you want to go, we make sure you have the tools you need to get there. Sometimes those tools are products that already exist. Just as often though, we discover that you need custom tools.

We take your needs and translate them into custom software programs that really work for you. We design and develop programs that solve your problems, improve your workflow and help you meet your business goals.

Administration

After we create your custom software package, our next step is to make sure it works the way you need it to work.

First, we make sure you have the equipment you need to run your new software – and your business—properly.

Then we do everything we can to get the equipment and the software working for you. We install and host every system we create. Once it’s up and running, we monitor it and update it so that you never have to worry about it.

Training

Committing to building a winning business is a big step, but if you don’t bring the rest of your team on board with you, it might not take you anywhere.

That’s why we don’t just install our equipment and leave you to fend for yourself; we train all of your employees to use it, understand it and incorporate it into their routines.

Once your team is comfortable with your new equipment and processes, you’ll be on your way to victory. We’ll still be on the sidelines, cheering you on and helping you when you need us, but our training process ensures that your team will have the skill, knowledge and confidence to win on your own. Sure, we could easily skip the training and charge you a support fee every time we come by to solve a problem for you. We might make more money, but we wouldn’t be having as much fun. Sales

The first step in the relationship for most technology companies is all about the technology. What kind of technology do you need? What do you think you need? It doesn’t matter why you think you need it or what you think you need it for. If you think you need it, they’re happy to sell it to you, whether you have the business processes in place to support it or not.

But what if you don’t know what you need? Well, they’re happy to help you there too. They’ll tell you exactly what you need. Then they’ll tell you about a few things you never knew you needed and convince you that you need them too. And then they’ll sell them all to you. Happily.

Administration

After they sell you a piece of equipment or software, their next step is to get it up and running. Fortunately, they’re really good at that. After all, these guys know their technology. How else would they be able to sell you so much of it?

Sales: The Sequel

But what if something goes wrong? What if your team doesn’t have the know-how to make the most of all that new technology? “No problem,” they’ll tell you. They’ll happily solve all of your problems -- and charge you a special consulting fee along the way. And the next time a problem comes up they’ll be back again, with another answer and another fee. And then they’ll do it again and again and again. Of course sometimes the answer isn’t that simple and they’ll tell you that the only way to solve your problem is to buy another piece of software or another piece of equipment, and they’ll happily start up the cycle all over again.
